Report a missed collection

We remove general household waste once a fortnight and recycling once a week on a scheduled collection day. Please alert us if your bin has not been emptied. Please note: Due to crew finishing times missed collections can only be reported after 6pm on the day of the collection.

Once reported missed collections should be re-scheduled and collected within 2 working days. Please ensure that you leave your bin out for collection once you have reported it missed.

Only one type of missed collection can be reported at a time - if you need to report more than one type of collection please complete this form and you will be given the option to make another request afterwards.

Over Christmas and New Year, schedules for missed collections may unfortunately be extended beyond the standard 2 working days during this very busy period. We would ask residents that bins are placed ready for collection as these will be emptied as soon as possible and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Clinical waste collections
Clinical waste must be placed out for collection on the correct day.

Sharps collections
Sharps boxes must be placed out for collection on the correct day. Sharps collections are on Mondays throughout Torbay. Requests taken before noon Thursday will be collected the following Monday. After noon Thursday collection will be the Monday after. If the following Monday is a Bank Holiday, the collection will not be affected.

Please note the timescale for missed collections is 2 working days.

Domestic and recycling waste must be placed out for collection on the correct day before 6am. If your waste was placed out after this time, the SWISCo crew will be unable to return to collect it and you will need to keep your waste until the next scheduled collection. Alternatively you can:

Take your waste to the Household Waste Recycling Centre (a maximum of two black bags of residual waste may be taken, Unlimited Recycling waste) or
Pay for the waste to be collected as a Bulky Collection. Please contact SWISCo to arrange a collection of your bulky waste on 01803 701310.
