Business Rates - Extend your bill payments until March

Please use this form if you would like to spread your Business Rates payments until March.

Please do not complete this form if any of the following apply to you:

You have received a final notice.
You have received a court summons.
You have a debt with a bailiff.

If you have a debt with the enforcement officers, please contact them directly.

If you have arrears of Business Rates from a previous year and a summons has not been issued it may be possible to include the amount you owe when spreading your payments to March.

If you are not sure whether you owe any Business Rates then you can check your balance by registering for an account, after you have registered you will able to see your Business Rates details online. You can get more information about this and register at My Torbay.

When looking at your Business Rates details if there is any amount shown for costs, it will not be possible to carry the balance forward.

Until 31 March, 2015 all requests for monthly instalments must be paid on the 25th of each month, this is so an April 2015 payment can be included.

If you wish to pay monthly, the first payment date but be within the next calendar month.

Please note, at certain times of the year, we may not be able to process your request before the date you select but we will always try to meet your request.

This must be paid at the post office. Please take your bill with you.

Please make cheques payable to Torbay Council and write your account number on the reverse. If you would like a receipt please also send a stamped address envelope.

Debit cards incur no additional costs but there is a 2% surcharge for credit cards. You can either pay online or by telephone on the 24 hour payment line 08453 721276, please make sure you quote your Business Rates account number.

An online mandate needs to be completed. A link to this will be given after you submit this form.

You will need to complete a standing order form and send this to your bank. A link to this will be given after you have submitted this form. A new form must be completed each year if you want to continue to pay by standing order.
