Housing officers can advise on the legitimacy of a notice and explain the stages of a legal eviction procedure.
This option is for queries relating to temporary accommodation you have been provided by Torbay Council. If you are seeking help with homelessness, please select another option. Torbay council only has a duty to provide temporary accommodation to the most vulnerable households, and such accommodation has a nightly ‘top up’ charge to be paid.
The Housing Options resettlement team source and deal with our temporary accommodation and help clients placed there to move to more settled accommodation.

You are not eligible for assistance via the Bond Scheme, but you may be able to obtain assistance via the Discretionary Housing Payments scheme (DHP). However, if you need rent in advance and you haven't yet applied for this from the Social Fund, then your DHP application may be delayed as we might ask you to do this before DHP is considered.

If your landlord does something that interferes with you living in your home and intends to make you leave they could be guilty of harassment. Housing officers can advise on your rights and what steps you can take to protect them.
